Paper It is one of our first craft materials. It allows us to carry out thousands of activities, in this case I will tell you how to make a special classic for children and school activities, in a nutshell it is like making a paper peacock.
for that you can uses the Origami technique because it is the simplest however, in recent years it has evolved reaching the third dimension, to offer those who practice it a show on paper.
we will start from the simplest to the most specialized . Let’s see how to make a simple Origami paper peacock:
The materials to be used;
1 sheet of 20 x 20 cm white or colored paper
1 Sheet of White Paper, the same color as the previous one or on the other, with a size of 15 x 15 cm.
necklace at the bar or cello
Make the body of the peacock.
Step 1.- Fold the sheet to form a triangle
take the 15 x 15 cm sheet first and fold it in half to form an equilateral triangle
Step 2.- Bring one of the corners to the center crease
Open the page again . bring one of corners to center (where the fold line of the sheet was marked)
Step 3.- Repeat the previous step with the other corner
so he opposite corner (but on the same side) also towards the center. repeat the operation with missing corners you will see that a kind of rhombus is formed
Step 4.- Turn the sheet over and fold one end of the diamond
turn the paper to the undivided side. Take the diamond point and bend it towards you, then fold the diamond in half leaving one sharp corner and one square corner.
Step 5.- Fold the other end up
Fold the pointed corner inwards, making sure this point is facing up last.
Step 6.- Open the figure and unfold it again
open the figure and you will take advantage of the marked fold lines to fold and make the same figure you had, but this time outside.
Step 7.- Turn again and fold the tip to form the peacock’s head
Later to turn the peacock, all you need to do is fold the tip over to form the turkey’s head.
Make the peacock tail
Step 1.- Fold an accordion using a sheet of paper
Take the sheet and form an accordion. For this measurement, take strips 2 centimeters wide and fold from one side to the other.
Step 2.- Fold the accordion in the shape of a cross
When all the accordion is ready, fold it crosswise generating two halves of the same size.
Attach the tail to the body of the peacock.

How to make a 3D paper peacock?
in that case you you will need colored cardboard instead of sheets of paper to give a 3D effect. This one is a little more advanced than the previous one, however, with perseverance and creativity you will be able to advance.
The materials to be used;
colour cardboard
colored markers
Scissors
colorful circle stickers
Step 1.- Fold the letter into an equilateral triangle
Select the cardboard that you will use for the body of the turkey . folded in half forming an equilateral triangle open the carton
Step 2.- Bring the edges of the paper to the center of the fold
Now fold the corners to the center of the sheet making sure the ones on the left are longer than the ones on the right.
Step 3.- Turn the paper over and fold the right end
Turn looking for the face that has no cracks and fold the right end towards you.
Step 4.- Fold in the middle and at the end of the left corner
folded in half (from top to bottom) and then fold the left end up so that the tip front and unfold it back to its original position.
Step 5.- Open the paper and fold the top edge in two creases
open the diamond folds . THE the top tip folds back. Take the inside of the tip and fold it
Step 6.- Make three accordions with other cardboard
take the other cardboard and make an accordion with it . Then take two more cards of other colors and make accordions. . Fold them all in half.
Step 7.- Divide one of the accordions and join it to the rest to make the peacock’s tail
with the scissors proceeds to cut the accordion in half leaving two accordions of 1 only. Then cut your height, making sure all three colors are at different levels.
Step 8.- Glue the tail at three different levels making the peacock stand out
Glue them to the tail in the shape of a ladder. Showing that there are three levels in them.
Step 9.- Decorate the peacock to your liking and that’s it
add stickers and make drawings with the markers of the eyes of the tail, feathers, among other details of the tail. Set up!
An important fact is that you can use a black marker to shade the creases of the tail, to obtain an effect of distance and proximity, something very positive when you want to obtain a 3D image.
there is even who puts the legs and the feathers on the tail so that the effect is much more real, that is, everything is a matter of creativity, because the secret of 3D is that it resembles reality as much as possible.
