The World Bank was born from the initiative of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, an institution created after World War II, where many nations were affected by the losses of this dispute. Specifically, it was founded in late 1944 and early 1945, when the aforementioned war ended; Initially there were only 35 countries registered as members of this institution, over the years more nations were annexed until reaching the figure of 185 members.

The first beneficiaries of this organization were the European countries since they were cataloged as the most affected after said war, the loans offered for the reconstruction of the European economy ranged from 250 million dollars; then economic support was given to Chile, Germany, and Japan, as well as many other nations.
