Alphabet soup has existed since the beginning of the 20th century. Companies that make this type of commercial soup use the Latin alphabet for the letters on the pasta. Of all the condensed soups offered by the company, those with tomato, chicken noodles and mushroom cream have been the most popular.
One of the company’s first awards came in 1876, when it was honored with a Quality Medal at that year’s Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia. The Gold Medal for Excellence was awarded to the company in 1900 at the Universal Exhibition in Paris.
