Values are qualities that allow an estimate of a subject or object, whether negative or positive. The religious, on the other hand, is what is linked to religion (the bond of faith that the human being establishes with the deities and that can include dogmas, rituals and other issues).
Religious values, therefore, are the principles that lead a person to conform to the provisions of the religion they profess. These values do not depend on an interpretation made by the subject of ethics, but are imposed by a book or an authority.
Religious values usually coincide with moral or ethical values that belong to the secular realm. Solidarity and respect, for example, are human values that can be considered religious values when an individual adopts them from a sacred book or from the advice of a leader of their belief, but they are also universal values that are established from the education or experience. In addition to the above by way of example, it must be said that many other religious values acquire relevance and that they must be taken into account by people who profess one or another faith. We refer to some like these:
-Love, especially to others.
-Charity, which determines the importance of helping those who need it most and sharing with them.
-Mercy, which refers to the ability that a person must have to be able to understand, understand and forgive others for the sins that they may have committed at some point.
-Respect for religion. In other words, “comply” with the obligations and precepts that it establishes. The religious who are responsible for making known to the people these “dogmas” and values of their faith, also establish that for a person to reach them it is necessary to be free of evil and envy. But not only that, they also establish that whoever wishes to have these values must not be selfish, have a pure and clean heart, nor maintain the need to respect God and others at all times. And they believe that in this way they will follow the established precepts and thus be able to approach the Almighty. Specifically, it is determined that this closeness will also be achieved by betting on other values such as tolerance, honesty, charity, respect for others, dignity and, of course, compliance with established duties. Other religious values, on the other hand, lose importance in other areas. Obedience, that religion can go to a dogma, a text or instructions from an authority (such as a priest, a rabbi or an imam) in the daily life of many people can remain in the background. Even not obeying and rebelling under certain circumstances is considered a positive thing.
When an individual violates or transgresses the religious values of a community, they can be considered to have committed blasphemy.
