What is a ball hitter?

A batter is one of many different types of kitchen appliances in the batter family. More like modern art than a mixing tool, each whisk wire ends in a heavy ball. This new design for mixers is said to make mixing and washing easier and faster.

There are usually twelve strands of beads, eleven long ones surrounding a shorter strand, moving independently. The weight at the end of each wire makes the cook’s strokes more efficient, incorporating air more fully into the food or liquid being churned. Some cooks report that they over-mix foods the first few times they use a whisk because they are used to a regular wire whisk. However, people can usually adjust their punches pretty quickly.

In addition to increasing efficiency, this whisk’s weighted balls and individual wires help it to be used effectively in all different shaped containers. Crimped strands hit corners and work at any angle. They can whip cream or eggs, stir liquids and batters, mix sauces in pans, and mix dry ingredients. A ball whisk can be used on the stovetop or in bowls.

A stainless steel ball whisk is extremely easy to clean. There are no corners or crevices for dough to get stuck in, making it more hygienic. They can be washed in the dishwasher, but can also be easily and quickly washed by hand. When purchasing a whisk, make sure the area where the cords join the handle is sealed to prevent food and liquid from collecting in hard-to-clean areas.

Ball bats are generally 10 to 14 inches (25.4 to 35.6 cm) long, including a hook at the top for hanging on a shelf or wall. A mini version is usually about 8 inches long and can be used to mix or blend ingredients in smaller containers. As with bigger hitters, heavy balls vibrate and hit every corner and edge, shortening your hitting time.
