Woman applying lipstick.
There are many reasons why women choose to wear makeup. One of the main reasons is to enhance your natural beauty and be more physically attractive. For example, if a woman has pretty eyes, she can use eyeliner to make them stand out more. She can also apply mascara to her eyelashes to make them longer and fuller, drawing even more attention to the natural beauty of her eyes. Some women even wear makeup just because it’s fun to look a little different for a while.

Some women wear makeup because it gives them confidence. This is in the same vein as giving your best. The first thing a person usually notices is a woman’s face. Enhanced with expertly applied makeup, a woman often feels ready for the world and confident to carry on throughout the day. That doesn’t mean she can’t be confident without makeup; it simply serves as a boost to her natural self-confidence.

Sometimes women wear makeup to cover something up. For example, after getting some sleep at night, a woman may have dark circles under her eyes. Although they are likely to disappear as soon as you fall asleep, well-applied makeup can hide them right away. It can also be used to brighten the face and camouflage imperfections, visible pores, uneven coloration, pimples and even some scars.
Makeup can help women look more awake.
A woman can use makeup to give her face a more youthful appearance. She may feel that aging gracefully is easier if she manages to look good while she does it. As such, she can use makeup to hide lines, blemishes, and age spots, as well as give her a more youthful glow. On the other hand, some teenagers use makeup to age their faces and thus give the impression of being more mature than they really are.
Properly applied makeup can enhance a woman’s natural features.
Women wear makeup in some form since ancient times. For example, ancient Egyptian women used eye paint and Japanese women began adorning their faces with powder made from rice centuries ago. European women of centuries past used chalk-based powders on their faces, while Greek women used red iron to decorate their lips. Over the years, technology and experiments have made different types of makeup available and easier to apply. In fact, today’s woman has makeup options that allow her to wear makeup while she appears to have little or no makeup at all.
