Evaluation is the process and result of evaluation: appreciating or recognizing the value of something or someone. The value of the verb can also refer to indicating the price of a good or service.
Asset valuation, for example, the procedure is carried out to estimate the value of a company, a share, a patent, etc. This assessment is usually developed before defining an acquisition or an investment, to name two possibilities. Art valuation, on the other hand, combines economic and aesthetic criteria to determine how much a work of art is worth on the market. Based on these evaluations, auctions are held.
Evaluation is also used in the field of sport. In basketball or basketball, the rating is calculated from different statistics and allows to measure the performance of the players. To measure the worth of a basketball player in a game, add up his points, assists, rebounds, blocks or blocks, steals and fouls received. Missed shots, comebacks, blocks received and fouls committed are subtracted from this score. The result is the evaluation in question. Suppose a basketball player scores 14 points, with 7/10 on 2-point shots and 0/1 on 3-point shots. He also gets 6 rebounds, fumbles twice, commits three fouls and commits two more. Taking into account the above, his evaluation is 15: 14 points + 6 rebounds + 3 fouls received = 23
3 missed two-point shots + 1 missed triple + 2 losses + 2 fouls = 8 23 – 8 = 15 ratings
