A Chelsea haircut is a popular and extreme punk hairstyle worn primarily by women. The basic cut consists of leaving the hair on the front of the head long and trimming it very short or completely shaving the hair on the rest of the skull. The front hair is cut into a fringe of about two inches and long strands of hair known as dog ears are left behind the ears on either side of the bangs.
There are, of course, several individual variations of this Chelsea short haircut. The hair can be colored and the back of the head can be shaved into a design. There is also a long Chelsea haircut in which the dog’s ears can be kept very long and in some cases sections of long hair at the nape of the neck can also be left intact during the crown cut. Two variations of the Chelsea haircut are the Chelsea Hawk haircut and the Chelsea Staub haircut.
The Chelsea Hawk combines the Mohawk haircut with the Chelsea haircut. The front hair is spiky and shaped like a mohawk instead of being cut into bangs. The ends are made to sit in the center of the head, and the rest of the hair is shaved off completely or shaved into designer patterns. The dog’s ears, depending on preferences, can be long or short so as not to detract from the appearance of the tips.
Compared to the Chelsea haircut and the Chelsea Hawk hairstyle, the Chelsea Staub haircut is almost conservative. The hair on the crown of the head is left untouched, cut into a short or long cut, and the hair at the nape of the neck and above the ears is trimmed or shaved or shaved into patterns. Since much of the hair is left untouched here, more styling options are usually possible with this haircut.
Before getting the Chelsea haircut, it may be a good idea to consider whether choosing a Chelsea haircut suits your facial structure. These types of haircuts, like most haircut styles, don’t necessarily work well for everyone. With that said, this can be a very interesting hairstyle on the right face type; it can do a good job of enhancing facial features and neck shape.
