Dyeing is the act and consequence of dyeing. The term, depending on the context, can be used as a synonym for coloring or staining. For example: “In half an hour the ink will be ready”, “I like the red ink you used”, “In many countries underarm ink has become fashionable”.
The term can be used with reference to the substance that allows dyeing and also to refer to the color that is applied. Dyes are used in different areas whenever you want to dye something. Among the most popular dyes are those used to color hair. Although natural dyes (such as different plant species) were used in ancient times, today dyes often include chemicals that allow them to increase their durability.
The application of hair dyes can be done at home or at the salon. Depending on the quality of the dye, the applied color will last more or less time on the hair. Those who want to change their hair color or want to hide the gray hair that is causing their hair to start turning white are the two main reasons that lead many people to make the decision to apply a hair dye. However, this is something that cannot be done without more, but requires taking into account a series of issues to reach the desired color and that the hair does not suffer:
-Before applying all the paint, it is recommended to do the same in a strand that is more hidden, so you will know what the final result will be.
-Some people consider that the basic rule to acquire a color is to choose the tone two shades below the real one.
-Of course, it is essential to take into account the color of your skin so that the result offered by the dye allows you to enjoy a perfect image. In this case, it is stated that fair-skinned women should not opt for a very dark color and that very dark-skinned women should skip blonde tints, as they will achieve a truly artificial look. Despite the wide variety of dyes available in specialized stores, many women prefer to dye their hair with natural extracts. And they do it because they consider that they do not damage the hair so much and allow a much more natural mane. Dyes also appear in the textile industry. You can change the color of a wide variety of fabrics through the use of dyes. The important thing in this case is that the dye resists washing without losing its tone. Woods can be stained for aesthetic purposes. The stain modifies the natural color of the wood, but does not cover its grain. A pine table, for example, can be darkened with paint.
Finally, the characteristic, quality or particularity of something is called tonality: “The meeting had a festive tone”, “I like books with a detective tone”.
